How It All Began
Founded in 2004
XPI was founded in 2004 by two visionaries that saw a tremendous opportunity to help businesses thrive. At that time, small to medium-sized businesses were struggling to incorporate the low-cost manufacturing available in China into their overall supply chain without sacrificing quality, lead times and intellectual property protection.
XPI Mission
XPI was founded to seamlessly provide clients with the Chinese manufacturing infrastructure that they needed. In addition to just capability, the XPI founders felt it was critical to also provide in-country management that conducted themselves with a level of professionalism and ethics meeting or exceeding that of western businesses.
A Perfect Match
The founders’ skill sets and backgrounds perfectly complemented one another to achieve this vision. The two founding partners, one from the East (China) and one from the West (USA), came together to introduce a game-changer solution for customers all over the world.
Accomplished Partners
Benjamin Masters, an Industrial Engineer and MBA, was working as VP of Operations for a USA multimillion dollar manufacturing and distribution company when he met Henry Zhao, an accomplished Chemistry and MBA graduate who was born and raised in China and came to New York at an early age to pursue the “American Dream.”
Humble Beginnings
Together they started a modest manufacturing facility in China focused on plastic injection molding and contract assembly. Within a short period of time, they were able to help hundreds of customers regain competitiveness with high-quality/low-cost manufacturing abroad. Their combined skills, coupled with their professional and personal backgrounds, were instrumental to the success of their new endeavour.
Full Suite of Services
Leveraging the power of China’s vibrant and robust manufacturing capabilities, XPI quickly grew its operations from plastic injection molding to a multitude of other high demand products and services — from plastics and metals, prototyping, designing and testing all the way to packaging and shipping.
Fast Forward to Today
Today, not only does XPI operate a 100,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Yuyao, China, but it also employs a team of highly qualified and passionate professionals throughout the globe — Senior Account Managers, Engineers, Project Managers, Purchasing Agents, Accounting/Finance experts, QC personnel, Logistics experts as well as an extensive network of Attorneys, Marketers and Designers. All of XPI’s associates share five core values that are pervasive throughout the entire organization: Honesty, Integrity, Character, Professionalism and Loyalty.
